Trip to the Diamond Mine Water Park
Church Youth Group Trip
Today was our church group trip to the water park. You invited Samuel to go with us. So since Aunt Lisa had a meeting, Samuel stayed with us before we left for the park. Mommy cooked chocolate gravy, biscuits, and eggs for breakfast. It was your first time to try chocolate gravy. I think you liked it, but you weren't really eating because you wanted to play since Samuel was there. Before we went to the park, we met the group at McDonald's for lunch. When we first got in the water, you were not too sure about what all was going on, but once you got used to it all you ran around, played in the fountains, and jumped in the water. We have to say a special thank you to Mr. Kelly and Mary for getting the trip together and taking our young church youth group to the water park. We had so much fun and can't wait to go again.
Teralee's First Time out on the Boat
Fishing with her Daddy
You always like it when Daddy lets you climb around and play in the boat while it is on the trailer, and lately everytime Daddy leaves to go fishing you have wanted to go really badly. So we decided it was time you get to take a boat ride and fish with Daddy. We were not for sure how you would react to the wind in your face or if you would be nervous. You didn't mind the wind, and you were certainly not nervous! You really enjoyed the evening. You were not scared at all. You jumped and played around in the boat just as you have always done. Daddy helped you cast your line and reel it in. You didn't catch any fish, but Austin did. Maybe on the next trip you will catch some. I do believe Daddy will have a hard time going fishing without you from now on!
My First Dentist Appointment
Daddy and Mommy could not be more proud of you after your first dentist appointment. You were such a big, brave girl! You let the dentist examine your teeth and let them clean your teeth. Dr. Wharton-Palmer said your teeth looked great and to keep brushing. He gave you a new toothbrush and some Spongebob toothpaste that you love. We are very excited about choosing Dr. Wharton-Palmer because his whole office is geared for treating kids! It was also a suprise to hear his British accent. He and his staff your very patient and sweet while treating you! I don't think we will dread going to the dentist!
Daddy's First Pony Tail!
It is getting time for Mommy to go back to work, so I won't be here in the mornings to pull your hair back out of your face. Since your hair is getting so long, we have to pull it out of your face. So Daddy is getting some practice pulling your hair back since he will be taking you to Mrs. Jamie's in the mornings. You are always still asleep when Mommy leaves for work, so doing the hair is left up to Daddy. I thought his first pony was just pretty good!
First Visit to the Library!
You love books, and we have many books at home that we read all the time. However, Mommy and Daddy thought it was time to take you to the local library so we could borrow and read books that we don't have at home. We talked about the library first, and you were very excited. When we got there, you couldn't believe all the books you could choose from. We chose eight to bring home. We have read them repeatedly. We are going to take them back Tuesday and get new ones. Mommy is so glad that you love to read. I just hope that love continues :)!
Potty Training Graduate!
You are such a big girl now and Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you! You are potty trained! We been working since summer started. Mommy and Daddy didn't push you at all especially with all the traveling we have done. We just let you take your time and learn on your own, and you have done a fantastic job. For several days now, you have not had any accidents and go to the potty without help. You are even staying dry all night. You have worked so hard to get stickers for your chart. Everytime you potty you get a sticker, and you are so proud of yourself when you get a sticker. We love you, angel!
Snapping Beans
with Pa and Nana
Mommy can remember spending lots of time snapping beans when I was little. I did with Nana, Pa, Pa Ed, and Ma Belle a whole lot. I always enjoyed doing it, too. I couldn't wait to get to help. You were already to jump in and help Nana and Pa snap, too. I love watching you make memories with your Pa and Nana, because Mommy has so many she will always cherish, and I know you will, too.
Mommy Lost You!
In the house that is
You have been sleeping in your big girl bed for several weeks now. You love your new bed and sleep all night in it. You normally get out of bed only in the mornings when you wake up. Well, the other morning Mommy woke up before you did and got up to check on you. Only, you weren't in your bed. So Mommy looked back in her bed, and you weren't there either. Mommy was almost about to panic because I was looking everywhere. In the chair, under the pillows, everywhere. Then I looked on the other side of Scooter's bed to find you curled up in the floor sound asleep. I am not for sure how long you had been asleep there, or how you got there. I asked if you remembered getting up, but you didn't. I hope this is not the beginning of sleep walking because you certainly talk in your sleep.
More Playing with "Mamuel"
You ask to see Samuel everyday, so before summer is over and routines get crazy we are trying to do just that. Well, if not everyday, at least every other day. Samuel even spent a few hours with us the other day while Uncle Rob and Aunt Lisa went to dinner. We were so excited for him to stay with us. Next time, maybe he can stay all night!
A Short Trip to Searcy
Mommy had a three day workshop in Searcy, so you and daddy came with me. Our hotel had an indoor pool and hot tub, so you were all set. As soon as we got to the hotel and unloaded, you had to go swimming. Swimming is what we did every night, and you and daddy swam everyday. You loved the hot tub, because the pool was extremely cold. We did find a few places to go shopping in the evenings and of course some great places to eat. You are getting used to staying in hotels, because you had an index card trying to open the door the other day. You are becoming quite the traveler. You certainly like to go. Mommy is so glad you and daddy made the trip with me.
Playing in the rain!
One rainy Sunday afternoon, a very unhappy little girl wanted to go outside and play, but everybody told her no because it was raining. The little girl could not understand why she couldn't go play and would not take no for an answer. So her mommy decided to let her go out so maybe the little girl would understand that she would get wet because it was raining. Thinking the little girl would come back in when she felt the rain her Mommy went with her. Well, the little girl loved the falling rain and all the big puddles to jump in. She and her Mommy played in the rain and puddles until it stopped. Then once again the little girl was very unhappy because the rain had stopped. Now when there is a rainy day, no puddle is safe from the little girl.
Overnight with Bo, B, Ben and Drew
All by myself!
During the 4th of July weekend, you decided you needed to go home with Bo, B, Ben, and Drew so you did. You stayed all night with them without Ma, Mommy, or Daddy. You had a blast, too. They said you were a very good girl! I am sure there are many more nights at Bo and B's!
My New Big Girl Bed!
We finally decided to take down the crib that Teralee has been trying to climb out of when she wakes up, and get her a toddler bed which is way more fitting at this point. She was so excited to get her big girl bed. She didn't have any trouble at all adjusting to her new bed. She sleeps just like she did in her crib, and she really likes being able to get up herself in the mornings. The first thing she wanted to do is jump on it. Then she wanted to take a nap. Our baby girl is growing up so fast!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Katlin!
Your cousin, Katlin, turned 2 on July 9th, and we all celebrated her birthday with a beach party theme. It was a great party, and a great way to say happy birthday to her. We love you, Katlin! Happy 2nd birthday!
Fourth of July Weekend
We had a great 4th of July weekend. I say weekend because we celebrated all weekend. On Friday night, we popped fireworks at home which you were not too sure about. Then on Saturday, Uncle Rob, Aunt Lisa, and Samuel came over for a cookout and to play. We swam and played. That evening we all went to New Hope to watch the firework display. You guys loved the fireworks. You clapped, yelled, oooed and awed over them. On Sunday which was actually the fourth, you wore a red and white dress to church for the special day, and we had lunch at Nana and Pa's with the whole family. Ben and Drew played basketball and soccer with you outside, and basically played anything you wanted as always. When they got ready to leave you were not happy about it and decided you needed to go to. So you went home with Bo, B, Ben, and Drew to stay the night. We all had such a wonderful weekend spending all the time with family, friends and fireworks. Happy 4th of July to everyone!
Pine Tree Duck Race
The Pine Tree Duck Race has been an annual fundraising event for several years now at the Dierks Lake spillway. You purchase a rubber duck and the first duck to cross the finish line at Horseshoe Bend Park wins a set amount of money. This is the first year we have purchased ducks to race. You ended up with ten ducks to race. So we all went to the spillway to see if your ducks would win. Too bad, not one of our ducks made it across first, but it was still a good family afternoon walking the river and seeing the beautiful scenery there. You had fun too playing on the playground waiting for the winning duck to cross the finish line. We will probably try again next year!
Happy Father's Day, Daddy!
I love you!
All-Star Game
We are so proud of Drew for being selected to play in the All-Star Football game. He had the oppurtunity to play with other chosen players from around the state in Reynolds Stadium at the U of A. It was a fabulous night because the weather wasn't too hot, and Drew played a fantastic game. You had fun playing with Jackson and Lexi Bo and B's nephew and niece. You called the Hogs and sang the Razorback fight song, too. We had to practice for the upcoming Razorback football season. When the game was over, you got to go on the field to see Drew. Way to play, Drew!
A Week in Malvern
What a crazy, busy week we spent in Malvern. Mommy had workshops in Little Rock and so did Aunt Kinzy so we got to stay at their home for the week. Gavin was playing All-Star baseball so we went Monday to watch him play way down in south Arkansas. Then on Tuesday we went out for dinner at Larry's Pizza because we just all love it so much. On Wednesday, we had to oppurtunity to stay at the house and play. You had a blast with Gavin and Gage! Then on Thursday evening we went to stay with Ben in Conway. We had dinner and did a little shopping. You and Daddy spent most of the morning with Ben just playing and having fun on Friday. That afternoon we headed to Fayetteville to see Drew play in the All-Star Football game! You were a great little traveler during this week. You loved getting to see everyone and never complained or even had trouble sleeping. Thanks, thanks, thanks to the Chaney's for having us for the week. We are always glad to see you guys and get to spend some time together. A special thanks to Ben too for having us at his place. It was a very busy week (and I really didn't get a lot of pics), but a great one, too.
My first sleepover with B, Ben, and Drew
Bo was on a business trip :(!
Daddy and Mommy had to take Aunt Tera, Jace, and Jerod to meet Uncle Jeremie to go back to South Carolina so you got to spend the night with B, Ben, and Drew. Unfortunately, Bo was away on a business trip. Ma stayed with you guys too. You were a wonderful little girl. You love the Cox family so much. You ask where they are all the time and love to be with them. So Mommy knew you would be just fine staying at their house overnight. You guys played and went shopping. You came home with new Hanah Montana necklaces (which you told me were Hanah Montana; not for sure where you learned about her :) ) and a new ball. Mommy and Daddy are so proud you had a great time with your family. Thanks so much guys for helping us out and keeping T for us. She adores each of you, and we are so blessed to have you all! We love you all!
Playing with "Mamuel"
aka Samuel LOL
We are getting a lot of time with the Huddlestons this summer, and we are so greatful to be able to. You just adore Aunt Lisa, Uncle Rob, and most of all Samuel. You guys play great together! I have more pics of playing with "Mamuel" on the way.
Vacation Bible School
Dierks Church of Christ
You were such a good girl at VBS. You loved your teachers, Mrs. Kim and Ms. Emily. The theme this year was Jungle Journey. Mr. Kelly and Mrs. Judy had the auditorium set up like a jungle with palm trees and monkeys. You loved the monkeys. I think your favorite thing to do was sing. Your favorite song from VBS is "Booster". We sing "Booster" all the time. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you for being such a big girl and learning so much during VBS.
Jace and Jerod Come to Arkansas
Mommy has almost waited to long to write on some of the entries, but I will do my best to remember all the exciting things we have done the past two months. When the boys came to visit us, you were so excited that you couldn't get to the car fast enough when they drove up that your feet went to fast and you tripped and went face first into the ground. You were a big girl and hopped up to get big hugs from Jace and Jerod. We had a very busy two weeks with the boys. We went to VBS, visited Grandma McRae, played baseball, basketball, golf, and swam almost everyday. We visited Bo, B, Ben, and Drew at Nashville, and Bo took you guys to play golf on the golf course. B helped all of you create masterpieces with sidewalk chalk. Daddy and Pa took all three of you to the children's fishing derby at the spillway. You guys had a great time. We caught three fish all together, and none of you would touch them. You all received prizes when it was over. We also went to Hot Springs to meet the Chaney's for lunch and a movie. You were stuck like glue to the boys while they were here. You had to stay several nights at Ma's because you didn't want to leave the boys and they didn't want you to leave them. When we had to travel, you would cry everytime because we all couldn't ride in the same car! Aunt Tera came in during the second week, and you couldn't get enough of her either. You still ask about the boys everyday and can't wait to see them soon!
Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day Weekend was pretty laid back which was really nice. Ben came and spent the day with you. We all played outside a lot and went to the lake to swim. You really had fun swimming in the lake, and even went down the slide into the water. We also went to the yearly Chesshir family reunion at Western Sizzlin' in Nashville (Mommy's camera battery went dead before I could take many pics.) It was really great to see everyone that could make it. To top off our weekend, we went to Aunt Lisa's, Uncle Rob's, and Samuel's for hamburgers and hot dogs. The Collins were also there to play and enjoy the day. Aunt Lisa had set up a slip-n-slide, but you didn't want anything to do with that, but you loved Samuel's "makin' mud pies" table. It was a super hot day, but definitely great spending it with family and friends.
First Pet
Teralee's Beta Fish
So, I am way behind on updating the blog. Teralee has had "Bisch" the "Bisch" (aka as "Fish" the fish) for sometime now. Ever since seeing Bo and B's fish and after making the trip to South Carolina and the Georgia Aquarium she just love fish. We watch "Finding Nemo" now, she has a stuffed fish from the aquarium, and of course fish shirts (thanks to Daddy). So we decided it was time for her to have her own fish. Teralee was so excited when we went to pick him out. She wanted to hold him all the way home, and then when we got home wanted to carry him everywhere. It took some convincing for her to finally give in and put the bowl down. The next morning the fish had to eat breakfast with her. The new has worn off, but she still feeds him and checks on him several times a day. I named this her first pet because it is truly hers. We still have Scooter, but I don't think he claims Teralee! HaHa!
